"I love Metal Gear Solid 2. I loved Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2. Not only was he a great change of pace from Snake, he was also a great mix of melodrama and comedy. As amusing as Snake’s smoking and pornographic browsing was, it couldn’t quite compare to a naked Raiden desperately trying to protect his modesty in the face of mortal danger." - Writes Tom Towers. Does his love affair continue with Revengeance? Read on to find out!
Remember Nintendo? I hope so, because apparently they're doomed. Or are they? Listen to episode 37 and find out!
Or else...
2013 has come to a close, so it's time for Phil Fogg and Tom Towers to think back to a bygone era and take part in the GOTY trend. Better late, than never, huh? It's a smorgasbord of games good and bad.
GOTY podcast coming soon! Probably, maybe, perhaps...hopefully.
Phil Fogg, my venerable co-host, kindly posted a 2013 retrospective of my, Tom Towers, reviews.
Unfortunately he not only listened the wrong Book of Unwritten Tales but also included a review or two from 2012.
Here is the updated list, including all reviews written in 2013, including those not relevant to head hunters (I like my scalp).
Tom Towers additions and amendments:
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory
Antichamber (I think we know why he left that one of the list!)
The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles
Phil's list minus the erroneous inclusions:
Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded Review
Tom Towers, my venerable co-host has done a few reviews this year,
Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded Review
Big Show 7 has come around, and rather than go big in length, this week we go big in philosophy when we discuss the very nature of gaming, and why different people are drawn to it.
Next week we'll be doing our expected GOTY selections and also let you know what we've been paying.
Thanks for listening.
Only funny when you hear episode 24.
A year ago today Tom Towers drunkenly challenged notorious Irishman, John Aarny to a gaming duel. A game a week for a year. In today's episode they recount their sexually charged journey of gaming gluttony. Did they make it? Listen to find out.
Rob from second-generation.com comes on to give Nintendo Impressions and Tom and Phil talk about Antichamber, Steamworld Dig and Metro 2033, along with the weeks news.
Nintendo Fan, Nelson Mandela, in happier times.
Phil Fogg has a nice new PS4, but he's not on this show, instead Tom Towers is joined by Dave Ader who goes deep with impressions of Killzone: Shadow Fall, Battlefield 4, NBA2K14, Need for Speed Rivals, Resogun and Contrast.
Before going to the news Tom gives impressions of Hyperdimension Neptunia: Victory and The Swapper.
